Vacancies: Sub-Wardens

Selkirk Hall is recruiting Two Sub-Wardens for the 2023/24 academic year.

The College invites applications for the post of Sub-Warden at Selkirk Hall.

The post is available from Summer 2023,

To support its academic mission, the College recognises the importance of providing a high-quality student experience, which offers support and development opportunities to its students in all aspects of student life. The college has 11 halls of residence, accommodating circa 3100 undergraduate students in total. Each hall has a residential wardeing team who has overall responsibility for fostering an inclusive and safe community for residents, in order to support their academic journey and transition to independent living.

Sub-Wardens support the Warden in delivering pastoral support to student residents and in maintaining good discipline and playing a key role in community development.

Successful candidates will have a strong desire to help students develop a balanced approach to university life, have excellent organizational and inter-personal skills and the ability to work effectively in a close-knit team.

This voluntary position is open to PhD students with at least one year of their research remaining.

Post holders are provided with accommodation at no cost (including rent, furnishings, and essential amenities).
